Pica

The Municipality of Pica (6,178 inhabitants) has been inhabited since pre-Columbian times by different cultures. Nowadays, the Municipality of Pica is mainly known for its citrus crops, being more commonly known as the LIMÓN DE PICA; whereas before, it was for its vineyards, which produced one of the best oporto wines in the whole North of Chile. Tourism is also developing strongly, being along with agriculture, commerce and mining, the main economic activities of Pica.
